About Me

Individual Therapy
Couple Therapy
Group Therapy

I am a psychotherapist in private practice in New York City with over twenty years experience treating trauma and working with individuals, couples and groups. I also train and treat therapists who work with trauma.

After the events of 9/11 and the Hurricanes of 2004, I conducted over 1,000 hours of trauma groups with survivors, families, witnesses and rescue workers.

I recently published “Unique Benefit of Group following Traumatic Events“ and co-authored an American Group Psychotherapy Association Trauma Protocol entitled Lesson’s Learned in Working with Witnesses, Survivors and Family Members after Traumatic Events.  I appeared as a guest expert on the radio show “Healing the Grieving Heart”, discussing Recovering From a Traumatic Event.

My book chapter “Care for the Caregiver”,  in The Wiley Blackwell Handbook of Group Psychotherapy, applies to both professional and non-professional caregivers.

I continue to lecture, both nationally and internationally, teach, and lead demonstration groups on trauma and the role groups play in the healing process following a traumatic event.

With my focus on ensuring your confidentiality and trust in a safe environment, your healing can develop as we work together in therapy.
